The CoBrA collection
The Cobra Museum always shows part of its collection to the public. The collection began with the start of the museum in 1995 and now includes a large number of works. The collection depot is located in the museum. In addition to paintings, drawings and sculpture, there is a large documentary archive about the Cobra movement that includes photographs, artists’ editions, magazines, films and letters. Unfortunately, due to limited space, we can only show part of our collection. This is why we regularly change our collection presentation.
The collection is regularly supplemented by highly targeted acquisitions and the museum also receives gifts for the collection. Before we accept such a gift, we assess its value for the history of art in general and for our collection in particular.
You can see at random a part of our collection in our collection-selection machine on this website. It’s the yellow part of the website.
